Introduction
Chinese New Year is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. In China, it is know as “Spring Festival”.

Duration
Chinese New Year starts with the new moon on the first day of the new year and ends on the full moon 15 days later. The 15th day of the new year is called the Lantern Festival, which is celebrated at night lantern displays and children carrying lanterns in a parade.

In these 15days celebration of Chinese New Year include follow things:
New year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are celebrated as family affair, a time of reunion and thanksgiving. The celebration was traditionally highlighted with a religious ceremony given in honor of Heaven and Earth, the gods of the household and family ancestors.

There is Dragon dances/ Lion dances show in every city of China. Now Chinese immigrate to all over the world, so you can see Dragon dances in the foreign country. Dragons are believed to bring good luck to people.

Chinese New Year’s food include a lot of food, such as pigs, ducks, goose, chicken, sea food, and sweet delicious.
Children will greet their parents by wishing them a healthy and happy new year, and receive money in red paper envelopes.
